The Federal College of Fisheries and Marine Technology (FCFMT) invite applications from those interested in a career in one of the following disciplines:

NATIONAL DIPLOMA

Marine Engineering Technology

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

NATIONAL DIPLOMA

·        A score of 180 and above in the 2016 UTME.

·        S.S.C.E/G.C.E./NECO. The above courses require at least five credits at ‘O’ Level obtained at not more than two sittings and any other qualification considered relevant by the Academic Board.

·        The following course specific ‘O’Level subject combination requirements apply:

NAUTICAL SCIENCE	Mathematics English Geography Physics Chemistry	Mathematics and English Language compulsory plus any other three from the subject requirements
MARINE ENGINEERING TECHNOLOGY	Mathematics English Physics Chemistry	At least one (1) from: - Technical Drawing - Biology or Agricultural   Science - Further Mathematics - Geography
MARITIME TRANSPORT AND BUSINESS STUDIES	Mathematics English Biology or Agricultural Science Economics or Commerce Geography Physics Chemistry	Mathematics and English Language is compulsory plus any other three (3)
FISHERIES TECHNOLOGY	Mathematics English Biology or Agricultural Science Physics Chemistry	Mathematics and English Language is compulsory plus any other three (3) from the subject requirements
HORTICULTURAL TECHNOLOGY	Biology or Agricultural Science Chemistry Mathematics English	At least one (1) from: - Economics - Technical Drawing - Physics - Geography
INDUSTRIAL LABOUR STUDIES	Mathematics English Economics or Commerce Government Biology or Agricultural Science Book keeping Accounting	Mathematics and English is compulsory plus any other three (3) from the subject requirements.

HIGHER NATIONAL DIPLOMA

COURSE	MINIMUM QUALIFICATION	SUBJECT REQUIREMENTS (SSCE/NECO/GCE)
FISHERIES TECHNOLOGY	National Diploma (ND) (Lower Credit) in Fisheries Technology, Agriculture or other related courses.	Five (5) Credit level passes at ‘O’ level in Mathematics, English, Chemistry, Biology/Agric and any other 2 subjects.
MARITIME TRANSPORT AND BUSINESS STUDIES	National Diploma (ND) (Lower Credit) in Maritime/Maritime Management or other related courses	Five (5) Credit level passes at ‘O’ level in English, Mathematics, Economics/Commerce, Biology/Agricultural Science and any other subject.
