END OF THE ROAD! ! ! One Of The Richest Man In Anambra Arrested With Billions Of Naira Worth Of Drugs And A Gun (VIDEO)

One of the richest drug kingpin in Nigeria who operates in the south eastern state of Anambra have met his waterloo as he was arrested by the operatives of the National Drug Enforcement Agency in Anambra on Saturday.

The drug baron, identified as Chijioke Okeke was arrested in possession of 548, 000 tablets of Tramadol stocked in his warehouse at Maryland Estate and a doubled barrelled pump action gun.

It was gathered by our correspondent that the Tramadol, branded as Tarkadol, weighing 302. 500 kilograms were recovered from the warehouse and the suspect admitted ownership of the illicit drugs.

The arrest was confirmed by Femi Babafemi, the Director of Media and Advocacy of National Drug Law Enforcement Agency, in a statement on Sunday, who disclosed that the illicit drugs were recovered from Okeke' s warehouse on Atunya Street, Maryland Estate, Nkwelle, Oyi.

The spokesperson of the Agency also said that the arrest of 44- year- old Okeke on Saturday, 10 July 2021 was based on " credible intelligence and surveillance, which confirmed he stocked his warehouse with the illicit drug. "

" After the search of his warehouse, 548, 000 tablets of Tarkadol weighing 302. 500 kilograms were recovered. The suspect accepted ownership of the substance recovered.

" Preliminary investigation has established that Tarkadol is a brand of Tramadol that has just been introduced into the market to evade attention. The substance has also tested positive for amphetamine.

" The drug was equally labelled 100mg pain reliever on its packs to avoid scrutiny, while laboratory tests confirmed it' s a 225mg drug. It was further discovered that the drug was manufactured in India and smuggled into Nigeria without NAFDAC number or certification. During the search of the warehouse, a double- barrelled pump action gun with three live cartridges, which licence expired since 2019, was also discovered and recovered, " Babafemi added.
