APPLICATION GUIDELINES FOR NIGERIAN NAVY 2017 RECRUITMENT EXERCISE

1. Applicants should possess any of the following educational and/professional qualifications:
   
   1. West African School Certificate/Senior Secondary School Certificate.
   2. General Certificate of Education Ordinary Level.
   3. WAEC City and Guilds or London City and Guilds.
   4. Ordinary National Diploma (OND).
   5. Any other educational qualification equivalent to those mentioned above.
   6. All applicants must produce their primary school leaving certificate.
   7. Applicants are to note that entry requirement into the following categories is SSCE or equivalent: B1, B2, B3, B4, B5, C1, D1, D2, D4, D5, D6, E1, E2, E3, E4, F1, G, H. Any other additional qualifications in these categories can only serve as an added advantage for selection into the branch and not for advancement. See the guide for details.
      
2. Any applicant possessing higher educational/professional qualification, i.e. HND, BA/BSc, etc other than those stated in Paragraph 1 (a-g) should not apply. Candidates are therefore warned that it is an offence to declare false educational/professional qualification. This attracts outright withdrawal or dismissal and hand over to Civil Police for prosecution.
   
3. DELSU Post-UTME / Admission Screening Form 2017/2018 Is Out

Delta State University, DELSU Post UTME / admission screening screening application form for the 2017/2018 academic session is now on sale. Also, DELSU admission cut-off mark is 180 as it has been announced by the school.

DELSU Post-UTME 2017 screening form is out on delsuonline.com for the commencement of admission screening. UTME candidates who wish to take part in DELSU Post-UTME screening exercise must have scored 180 and above and must have choose the institution as their first choice of institution in the 2017 JAMB UTME.

DELSU Admission Screening Eligibility Criteria

Who is qualified for DELSU admission screening for 2017/2018 academic session:

1. All candidates who chose DELSU as their first choice of University and scored 180 and above can apply for the 2017/2018 Admission screening, but they must submit a copy of the jamb result with a scratch card attached to verify the result.
2. The screening will take place at site III, Abraka Campus
3. On-line application will start from Thursday 15th June, 2017.
4. Application website closes at 6.00p.m. on Friday 21st July, 2017

How to Apply for DELSU Post-UTME / Admission Screening for 2017/2018 Academic Session

Candidates are required to visit www.delsuonline.com to generate a virtual PIN with N5,000.00 (five thousand naira only). Evidence of payment (Bank tellers) for Centre Screening (The cost covers honoraria for centre facilitation, logistics for producing screening materials and security). Payment should be made to any of the following banks.

• Unity Bank
• Ecobank
• UBA
• Zenith Bank
• Fidelity Bank

Ensure that Jamb Registration Number and Names are correctly entered. Errors will not be entertained.
 PROCEDURE TO GENERATE VITUAL PIN

1. Procedure to generate DELSU virtual PIN.
   • Visit www.delsuonline.com
   • Click online Application
   • Click Start
   • Click screening exercise
   • Click Start
   • Complete the form with valid JAMB Registration Number
   • Submit the form and generate PIN
   • Print out the PIN generated
   • Visit any of the specified banks for payment
2. Candidates applying for DELUS admission screening should with the PIN for payment access and complete the Delta State University, Abraka, 2017 Screening form online at www.delsuonline.com with their recent coloured passport sized photograph scanned to the JPEG format and not more than 20kb in size.
3.  Candidates are advised to use the virtual PIN immediately after payment, as it will be invalid after six (6) hours of its generation.
4.  Candidates are advised to read the instructions on the front page of the website before completing the form.
5.  Candidates must confirm the JAMB registration number at the point of application, as there will be no result for wrong JAMB registration numbers. The University will not be held responsible for wrong JAMB registration number entered and other errors made by any applicant at the point of application. Your application will not be successful if you enter a Local Government/State of origin different from the one indicated on your JAMB registration form.
6.  Candidates must enter a valid mobile phone number and e-mail address with which the University will communicate with candidates on venue.
7. Candidates should visit www.delsu.edu.ng to print out the venue of screening a day after the closure of application.
8. Candidates are expected to identify their venue and seat number before the scheduled date of screening.
9.  Candidates are required to come to the screening venue with the following:
   • A copy of print-out of venue and seat number
   • A copy of the print-out of completed on-line confirmation of application.
   • UTME Result Slip
   • Two recent passport sized coloured photographs with the full names of candidate and signature on the reversed side of the photograph

JAMB Registration Period (Registration Starting and Closing Date for 2017/2018)

Majority of the questions we have been getting have been about when JAMB registration for 2017 will start. Yes, there has been a long delay than usual in the commencement of 2017 JAMB UTME registration. A lot of intending applicants are already frustrated by the long wait and would like to know when they can go online to register.

Intending JAMB candidates should note that JAMB CBT registration will start on Wednesday, the 23rd of November, 2016, and it is scheduled to come to a close on Friday, the 22nd of January, 2017.

JAMB UTME Registration Fees For 2017

Another question we have received a lot is about how much candidates are expected to pay to register for JAMB UTME. The 2017/2018 registration fee is ₦6,500. If you want this broken down for you, the JAMB scratch card is ₦5,000, while the online registration itself is ₦1,000 and N500 for the book.

So, now you know how much the scratch card for JAMB registration is, and how much the online registration costs. In addition, candidates are expected to purchase the textbook, titled “The Last Days at Forcados High School.” As mentioned earlier, it comes at a cost of Five Hundred Naira (₦500.00) only.

Where can you buy registration scratch cards/form?

We have been informed that the 2017 JAMB registration scratch card for UTME 2018/2019 is now available at designated points and banks nationwide.

2. Admission procedure and requirements of Tertiary Institutions in Nigeria. Also included are the available programmes of study in the institutions.
3. If you paid for the book before going to the registration center, show them your receipt and you will also get your own copy of the book.

Examination Details

Details of the Nigerian Defense Academy entrance examination for 2017/2018 has also been published. Examination will take place on Saturday 22 April 2017. The requirements and things to take along to the exam center are below;

All eligible candidates are to bring along their Acknowledgement Form, Examination Admission Card, JAMB result slip and TWO (2) postcard sized (3.5 x 5 inches) photographs to the Examination Centre on the examination date. The photographs should show only from the chest upwards and should contain the candidate’s Name, Exam Number, State, Exam Centre, Course of study and Signature at the back.

Only successful candidates at the NDA Entrance Examination will subsequently be invited for the Armed Forces Selection Board following which the list of admitted candidates will be published.

Nature And Duration Of Training

Admitted candidates into NDA for the Regular Course will undergo military and academic training as Officer Cadets for a duration of 5 years. On successful completion of training, graduands will earn a honours degree in a core discipline (BSc, B.Eng, BA). They will equally earn a commission into the Armed Forces of Nigeria.

Administration

Regular Course cadets will train in NDA. All aspects of the cadets’ administration and logistics will be borne by the Federal Government.

How to Start Making Money on MMM?

So, you have decided to participate in MMM. What to do? It’s very easy! Just follow the steps below.

1. Register at the website.
2. Enter your Personal Office.
3. There will be two big buttons. “Provide help” and “Get help”.
4. If you want to contribute money, click “Provide help” and specify the amount you want to put into the system. The minimum amount is $10 & multiple of $10.
5. You immediately get MAVROs in your Personal Office (MAVRO is the internal currency of the system)
   However, as soon as you get MAVROs you won’t be able to sell them till they are unconfirmed as you still haven’t transferred money but only created the request.
6. Participants are invited to take part in offline activities. For example, to stick leaflets with the symbols of the Community, distribute flyers, arrange a home visit. Performing offline tasks, Usually offline actions are harder and more efficient, and therefore the mavro you get for them is higher!
   
   The execution of offline tasks will bring you some additional mavro (the rate will be stated in the description of the task in your PO). Upon completion of the task you will need to submit a photo or video report.

The main types of offline tasks:

- holding a meeting (2-3 persons, except for the Organizer) and recording it on video:
- meeting (4-5 persons, except for the Organizer) with a video report:
- meeting (6 or more persons, apart from the Organizer) with a video report:

7. Then you’ll get the order in your PO including all bank account details of the person you should transfer money to.The order also contains contact details of the person so you can get in touch with him or her to make sure that it’s a real person and participant as you.
   
   In MMM there is no central account where all participants’ money accumulates (and where it can be stolen). All transfers are carried out between the participants directly. It means that everything is quite clear and transparent. MMM plays the role of the operator that helps to establish the contact between the participants.
8. Transfer money to the participant. He or she confirms the receipt and your MAVROs become “confirmed”. That’s it! Now you can sell them whenever you want, total amount or a part of it.
9. If you want to sell your MAVROs click “Get help” and specify the amount.
   Other participant will receive the order and will send you the money (provide help). As you did earlier! Don’t forget to confirm the receipt of help as soon as the money is on your bank account (But no earlier! Be careful with frauds!). If you don’t do it the sender’s MAVROs won’t be confirmed.
