The 2016/2017 admission screening fee
has been pegged at N2,500 (Two thousand, five hundred Naira only). All
stakeholders, including the Education Minister, JAMB and heads of
tertiary institutions in Nigeria had earlier met to decide how the 2016/17 admission screening would be conducted.
After
the meeting, admission seekers were notified that there will still be a
fee to be paid for admission screening. The Minister of Education
promised to reveal that. This has now been announced.
Education Minister Pegs Admission/Post-UTME Screening Fee At N2,500 Only
The education minister and stakeholders agree on N2,500 as admission screening fee. Computer-Based Test has being scrapped as a means to screen Post-UTME candidates. The reason for the cancellation has been explained by an important stakeholder in the Education sector.
After
meeting with stakeholders, the HME (Honorable Minister of Education)
directed that a maximum of 2500 (Bank charges inclusive) be charged for
the screening process.
