The official
guideline to be used for 2016/2017 admission into Universities, Polytechnics,
Colleges and other tertiary institutions in Nigeria has been released. The
Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB released the official admission
guideline to guide institutions and to also clear air on the rumours already
making rounds.
You would
recall that several media outlets (including this), reported that a point
system will be used for 2016/2017 admission into tertiary institutions. The
management of JAMB has debunked this, claiming that the point system was just
demonstration of how some schools conducted admission in the past. This is to
be discontinued to follow the admission guidelines recognized by law.
